Petunia is an adorable pointer mix with soft fur and the cutest gangly legs. Her foster mom first saw her in the shelter as shy, very dirty, sweetheart with an infected ear. After the first 24 hours in her foster home Petunia was like a new dog, ready to play, getting along wonderfully with other dogs, and completely trusting her foster mom even while putting medicine in her ear. She still has a lot of puppy left, and has a very carefree, happy spirit, but has an amazing ability to behave appropriately no matter what the tone of the room is. Did we mention this gal is smart? She is kennel trained and house trained, currently learning sit and off!
Her foster mom loves all of her adorable behaviors: bowing and pouncing on her foster siblings to get them to play, curling up in the tiniest ball to use her behind as a pillow, snuggling up with the other dogs in the house for a nap. Petunia has so much to offer, does it sound like she would be the perfect fit for your family?
Petunia is available for pre-adopt only at this time, as she is heartworm positive. Heartworm disease is a non-contagious and treatable condition in dogs, but is fatal if left untreated.
