My name is Pippa and I am a very special girl! You would never believe how far I have come. When I was born I walked down on my elbows with my chin touching the floor but now I am up on my feet, doing zoomies and flying off the furniture. (It was a birth defect called Carpal Flexural Deformity). I am an active girl that loves toys, running in the yard, playing fetch and splashing in the pool. Tennis balls and nylabones are my favorite. I have been going to physical therapy and speed walking on the water treadmill. My legs may never be perfect looking but as long as I stay active and strong, I will stay up on my feet. Nothing can slow me down!
I live with two dogs, 1 big and 1 small. I play well with the other dogs but I also play well by myself. I can spend hours digging toys out of the toy bin and playing with them. Once I have worn myself out, I will snuggle with you and lay my head on your lap. I love to snuggle and always be in the same room as my foster parents. I also live with a cat that I want to play with though foster parents say jumping on the cat really is not playing nice.
I love treats and will do anything for food. I have a pillow in my kennel and I sleep soundly curled up on it. I am totally potty trained and will tell you when I need to get outside. I know sit and part of my physical therapy is do doggie push-ups (sit/down/sit). The vets think I am a Redbone Coonhound mix although I think I am your perfect new family member regardless of breed. Come meet me and fall in love!
