My name is Rayford. I am available for adoption through Colorado Canine Rescue (CCR), a nonprofit dog rescue located in the Denver area. I came to CCR from Texas with my mom and siblings. There is very little history on us. CCR has been told my mom is a Lab mix, but that is just a guess. My dad is a complete mystery and could be any breed or mix of breeds. My estimated date of birth is August 16, 2016.
Rayford is the biggest pup of the bunch. Such a sweet pea, looking for a kiss or a chin rub. He is playful, used to a cat and larger dogs in the household. Rayford and Roger can be found snuggling together at most naps. He is kenneled at night and when the foster family is not home. Otherwise he has free reign of the household and outside at will. Some nights the puppies do need to go potty in the middle of the night, other nights they are fine until morning.
It is preferable that a puppy is not left along for 8 hours a time. It will lead to poor habits due to boredom, which can lead to destruction, harder to house train, and needs more socialization. At this young of an age, they still have many stages of learning to be a well rounded puppy.
For puppies that are not altered prior to adoption, you can use this ending template: If you are interested in adopting Rayford, please submit an adoption application located on our website, www.coloradocaninerescue.org. We are asking for an adoption donation of $225 as well as $50 for the spay/neuter deposit for Rayford. Per Colorado State law, the $50 deposit will be refunded once we have received documentation that the spay/neuter was completed within 90 days post adoption. Please note, CCR cannot guarantee the breed composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have no history prior to them entering the shelter.
