Rocky came to HHS from the streets of South St. Louis. He is approximately 3 years old. He was pretty smart because he started hanging around a house of a rescue mom and she started feeding him. Her home was already full of fosters so she reached out to other rescue groups, and that's how he came to HHS. He was very dirty, including his teeth and his long hair was matted. We shaved him down to give him a fresh start and now his fur is growing back beautifully. He is a very handsome boy! Rocky does have some dental issues that cause him to have bad breath, but we are working on that. He has a muscular build and is very demonstrative of his love and appreciation. It took him a few months, but he has gained trust again and is happy and sociable. Rocky tested positive for FIV. FIV is not terminal or contagious. The only way FIV can be transmitted to another Kitty is through a very deep bite wound. He currently lives in a home with 4 other kitties and a very large dog (Great Pyrenees) and has free reign of the house with the other animals. He is the most playful of my foster kitties, especially with toys that make noise, like balls with bells in them. Rocky is neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV and up to date on all vaccines.
