Do you need a champion in your home? Rocky could be the dog for you!
Rocky loves to perform for treats. In fact, he will do any command perfectly for the right enticement! Now that he feels better after heartworm treatment, he loves to run, play fetch, and chase any ball that is thrown for him. (He's even learning to drop the ball close to us.)
Rocky is in boarding with his brother Romeo and is reaching him that playing is fun. He gets very excited to see his rescuers come play with him at the kennels. He loves to be brushed & loves his baths; he really loves the water. Rocky is housetrained - he will bark to let you know he needs to go out right away! He also knows basic commands: sit, stay, come, down, etc.
Since he was found with a heavy collar that really irritated his neck, he is now walked with a harness and does well with it. (He wears his collar well, but prefers to be walked in a harness so his collar doesn't pull on his neck.)
Rocky loves kids of all ages & he seems to like watching them ride bikes. He is great with dogs and cats so he'll fit right in! He loves sleeping on human beds but feels that dog beds are more for chewing than sleeping. He loves belly rubs, rolling in the grass, and sitting as close as he can to you.
While Rocky has many loves, he's not that fond of loud noises like thunder, loud trucks, etc. So he'll need a little comforting during a storm.
At the kennel his rescuers work with him on playing nicely, socialization, basic commands, and toy sharing (he can be a toy hoarder if you let him). Rocky loves to run & chase rabbits & squirrels, so he'll need a tall secure fence to keep him safe. Like his brother Romeo, he would do really well with a family with kids and a yard to play in.
