We don't take calls about our adoptable dogs. We are an all volunteer organization and do not have a shelter nor a receptionist to take calls and answer questions. All our dogs are fostered in loving homes by volunteers, most of whom work full time jobs then come home to take care of their families and the little rescued dogs who live as members of the family.
We desperately need volunteers who are willing to foster little dogs in their homes while we search for approved adopters. We pay all the vet bills and provide supplies to our foster homes. For more information, email Linda, PapillonMom@gmail.com.

Comments from the foster mom: Rocky is a delightful, young boy who loves to play! He wants to be with his people and other dogs all of the time. His former family had some problems with Rocky guarding his food but he has not done that in his foster home.
Rocky loves to get outside and explore. For that reason he would love to have a fenced yard in his forever home. He enjoys playing with older, dog-savvy children but we don't know yet about cats. He can get along with some dogs, but the other dog has to allow Rocky to be the first and dominant dog. For that reason we recommend he be an only dog. He might want to chase a cat but would stop if asked to do so. He is very good about listening to what his people want him to do but in the past if he didnt want to do what was requested he would nip. That behavior has stopped in his foster home with lots of attention and positive method training but it is a real possibility he could relapse to the nipping in another home. He can play rough and plays mostly using his mouth as he was never taught not to do so. Fetch and tug are his favorite games. He is also content to have chewies and be a quiet companion. For a 13 month old Papillon he is very patient and if there is nothing at all to do and no one to play with, he is content playing with his toys or chewing on a chewie.
Rocky would do best with people who have had dogs in the past and understand positive reinforcement dog training. He really responds well to that technique.
If you are looking for a healthy, young, snuggly companion, Rocky is patiently waiting for you. He is ready to go to his forever home. He wants to be your BFF.

Our Adoption Process: We require an application be completed and submitted if you wish to adopt a dog from Papillon Pals. Once the application is received, our Adoption Committee reviews the application to make sure the applicant meets the requirements for adopting the dog (for example: requires a fenced yard, or a stay-at-home adopter, etc.). We then check personal and vet references. If all is well with the references, we contact the applicant to schedule a time to take the dog to their home and meet all of the family. All information is then submitted to our Adoption Committee for review/approval. This process may take up to two weeks to complete.
We desperately need foster homes for newly rescued dogs. If you think you might be interested in fostering a small dog, contact Linda, PapillonMom@gmail.com for more information.
