My name is Roger. I am available for adoption through Colorado Canine Rescue (CCR), a nonprofit dog rescue located in the Denver area. I came to CCR from Texas with my mom and siblings. There is very little history on us. CCR has been told my mom is a Lab mix, but that is just a guess. My dad is a complete mystery and could be any breed or mix of breeds. My estimated date of birth is August 16, 2016.
Roger is easy to pick out from his other two black fur brothers. He has some brown mixed in his black fur on his legs and paws, like his mom. He likes to snuggle with his brother Rayford. Rayford has always been the biggest brother and Roger the smallest. Roger has wrestled with the dog friendly cat, playful with his siblings, and is used to larger dogs in the foster household. He is kenneled at night and when the foster family is gone. Some nights they last until morning, other nights they need to be put outside to potty.
It is preferable that a puppy is not left along for 8 hours a time. It will lead to poor habits due to boredom, which can lead to destruction, harder to house train, and needs more socialization. At this young of an age, they still have many stages of learning to be a well rounded puppy.
If you are interested in adopting Roger, please submit an adoption application located on our website,www.coloradocaninerescue.org. We are asking for an adoption donation of $225 as well as $50 for the spay/neuter deposit for Roger. Per Colorado State law, the $50 deposit will be refunded once we have received documentation that the spay/neuter was completed within 90 days post adoption. Please note, CCR cannot guarantee the breed composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have no history prior to them entering the shelter.
