Fostered in Elk, WA
Hello friends. My name is Romeo and my favorite things in life include spending time on your lap, and hanging out with my brother Trooper. He and I have been through a whole bunch of scary transitions together and we are always going to be two peas in a pod because we know we can count on one another.
I was originally found stray in Southern California with a broken leg and the shelter staff made the decision to amputate. Once that painful leg was gone, I felt so much better and I can finally run like the wind again, which I still love to do, so please keep me in a fenced area or on a leash. Trooper and I bonded from the first day we met and were rescued from the shelter and adopted out where we lived happily for a few months before our new mom decided that she had to move and that we couldn’t come along. So, Power of the Paw stepped up and took us in where we are now living in foster.
My foster mom has two big curly dogs that she calls poodles and I think that they should get the heck away from me because they’re so big that they terrify me. I don’t hate them, but I can’t say that I like them either, so I hope that my future home has dogs that are near to my size or none at all. I really don’t give a rip about cats and I’m happy to have them around if they want to hang out, as long as they give me my space. I like people that are quiet and move slow for me so a home with young kids would not be quite right for my tastes. When the small people yell or run around, it takes me back to all the scary experiences that I’ve been through and I am just not myself.
At the end of the day, I don’t need much, just a quiet home with a warm spot on the couch for me and my main man Trooper. If you think you’ve got what we need, please send in an application today.
If you are interested in adopting Trooper and me, please go to http://powerofthepaw.org/ adopt/ dog-adoption-application/ and fill out an application! We can't wait to meet you. Our combined ADOPTION FEE: $200 includes neuter, DAPP, Rabies, Bordetella, Microchip, Deworm and vet check.
