Tiny Foxy Roxie is a totally adorable hairless crested that is just learning to be loved again. She needs someone who will be patient with her as she gets her groove back. Roxie would do best in a home as an only dog or maybe with one other small, easy going dog that would leave her totally alone. She does not appear to be thrilled with cats so I would say no cats, at least not inside cats. Sorry, no children as sudden moves startle her. She needs a quite home as she loves to just hang out. She is not into playing, at least not yet. She is housebroke and will do her business out side very quickly. She does like to go for car rides. And she is a great snuggler!
Roxie either loves you or is really not a fan, not much inbetween for her. Therefore if you are interested in adopting her you will need to come meet her first, and that means everyone in the household (including other pets). She should have a fenced in yard so nothing comes into the yard uninvited. She is not a runner but will go after things she is not happy with and she does bite, very few teeth so she can't do any damage. She does not walk on a leash. We are working on that and I have switched to a harness. She is great if you are going where she wants to go but not so good if she isn't interested in where you want to go. She only has two teeth so will need a special diet, she gets eggs with small dog dry food for breakfast and raw and dry food for dinner. She has a great appetite so loves her food.
Roxie had a luxated patella so has had surgery. She is doing well in her recovery and for the most part you would never know she had a problem at all. She is a little stiff if she has been sleeping for a while but walks out of it faster than I do!
Roxie will be a great dog for just the right person/family but she will only go to the perfect family for her.
Roxie is being fostered in LaPorte, IN.
