Roxie is a two year old pit bull mix who was originally brought to the shelter as a stray. She is very much a puppy at heart, and while she learns quickly and is easily redirected, her energy levels were not compatible with life in a small kennel, and Roxie found herself on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, a wonderful foster family welcomed her into their home. According to her foster mom, Roxie loves squeaky toys, will do ANYTHING for a belly rub. She is also “absolutely gaga for kids” and loves hanging out with her human foster brother. She also does well with other dogs (who are comfortable with an active puppy), and should go to a home with children over ten (she loves kids, but she’s also a bit enthusiastic with them…). Roxie is crate trained and house broken, and is slowly learning how to live with cats. She’s also incredibly goofy and often perplexed by the world around her (she’s fascinated by the shower and hasn’t quite figured out “wind” yet – she tries to catch it in her mouth!). This silly girl would do well in an active home willing to continue her training and who will be dedicated to loving her to pieces.
