Our rescue will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express Saturday, October 22nd from 1-4pm and Sunday, October 23rd from 12-3pm. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated and microchipped.
* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. * We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. * We do not ship our dogs for any reason. * Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy. * If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on @DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted: www.facebook.com/DPSRescue
This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, October 22nd from 1-4pm and Sunday, October 23rd from 12-3pm or until adopted. However, we do meet with those who submit an application and are approved just prior to the event (by invitation only) and they are given the first opportunity to adopt. If you are interested in one of our dogs, we recommend filling out an application prior to the event to be considered. Applications submitted within 24 hours of the event may not necessarily be reviewed.
Rubble is a 1 1/2 year old rat terrier-chi mix whose owner surrendered him to us when they were unable to afford dog-friendly housing. Rubble was a much-loved family dog and we will be looking for a home that will spoil him and give him just as much love, if not more! If we could pick one word to describe Rubble, it would be: HAPPY. Rubble is just the happiest dog you have ever met! From the moment he came into our rescue, he was everyone's new best friend. He can play and wrestle with dogs his own size, or the ones who have 20 lbs on him! He doesn't mind- he just wants to make friends everywhere he goes. It's impossible to watch him playing with other dogs and not start smiling. And just look at HIS smile! Priceless :). Rubble knows how to walk on a leash and can sit quietly in his crate until playtime is declared. He's just an overall really GREAT dog.
Rubble is an option for the dog park or doggy day care. His sweet nature and good behavior make him an option for a first time dog owning family who is ready and has done their research. Rubble also grew up around kids and is an option for kids ages 5 and older. He's also cat-tested and approved!
**Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend)
**If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.
