My name is Russa. I am available for adoption through Colorado Canine Rescue (CCR), a nonprofit dog rescue located in the Denver area. I came to CCR from Texas with my mom and siblings. There is very little history on us. CCR has been told my mom is a Lab mix, but that is just a guess. My dad is a complete mystery and could be any breed or mix of breeds. My estimated date of birth is August 16, 2016.
Russa is the only brown puppy, and the most independent of the siblings- always has been. She was the first to explore the whole yard, the first to climb the deck stairs, the first to bark and howl. Many times when you see the puppies gathered for naps she is snuggled on a toy. Russa does not mind having her picture taken, and seems most photogenic. Russa sleeps in the kennel at night and when the foster family is not around. She seeks out the cat to wrestle with, and loves being outdoors. Potty training in progress. If you have an adventurous sole this might be your girl.
It is preferable that a puppy is not left along for 8 hours a time. It will lead to poor habits due to boredom, which can lead to destruction, harder to house train, and needs more socialization. At this young of an age, they still have many stages of learning to be a well rounded puppy.
For puppies that are not altered prior to adoption, you can use this ending template: If you are interested in adopting Russa, please submit an adoption application located on our website, www.coloradocaninerescue.org. We are asking for an adoption donation of $225 as well as $50 for the spay/neuter deposit for Russa. Per Colorado State law, the $50 deposit will be refunded once we have received documentation that the spay/neuter was completed within 90 days post adoption. Please note, CCR cannot guarantee the breed composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have no history prior to them entering the shelter.
