She captured the heart of volunteers at the San Bernardino City Shelter who scrambled to find her a foster home so that we, Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue, could rescue her out and work with her fosters to give her a second shot at life!
Her first few weeks out of the shelter consisted of her canine and human roommates helping her get used to life outside of a kennel. She is now house broken, doesn't pull on a leash, and a pro at following basic commands. She's an excellent hiking and walking partner, and the perfect fit for a mellow family who loves adventures!
She appears to be OK around cats- she lives with two, but they pretty much ignore each other.
Children- she loves them! Here are some videos of her and her human cousins:
*dog friendly but prefers males
Although Ruthie interacts well with other dogs, she would thrive in a single dog house hold.
