He is a teddy bear in a cat suit!
DOB: February 2014
Description: Black and White
SALVADOR is a very friendly and affectionate kitty. He is both mellow and moderately playful.
On his mellow side, Salvador loves to put his paws on his foster mom's shoulders and snuggle under her chin. He even likes to be picked up and held for short periods of time. Salvador has a nice purr motor, and appreciates being doted upon. This sweet boy is often content window watching and monitoring household activities. Salvador likes to sleep at the foot of one of the beds in his foster home.
However, Salvador has a playful side as well. He likes to play with toy mice, balls, crumpled up paper and feather teasers and responds to catnip-filled toys! Salvador also has short bursts of energy and scampers throughout his foster home looking for interactive play. He sometimes jumps out and 'ambushes' his foster family looking for interactive play. He can also get a little nippy when playing or when he's had enough petting. This type of play tells us that Salvador needs a feline buddy to chase, pounce on and wrestle with - but in a relatively gentle fashion.
Salvador has been in two different types of foster homes - one with both cats and cat-friendly dogs, and a second one as the only pet. It's clear that he needs feline interaction. And while he was not phased by the dogs in his previous foster home, he didn't interact with them much.
Salvador is looking for a quiet to moderately active home where he will get human interaction, and has at least one like-minded kitty to bond and play with. This sweet boy came into our care from a local shelter.
