11 year young male Sable and White colored Sheltie
Sammie is a young 11 year old who is crate-trained, housebroken and used to a dog-door. He is very intense and needs lots of attention. He can be food aggressive, so it is best that he be fed in his crate.
Sammie should probably be an only dog and loves cats. Older children would be fine. If placing with another dog she should be really sweet and loving. He trys to herd you around but has no teeth so the best he can do is gum you. Sammie insists on going everywhere you go... rarely will he let his people out of sight.
Sammie doesn’t love car riding. That may change when he realizes going does not mean the vet or being dropped off. He walks a little haphazardly on lead until he’s figured out we are not going to the car or crate.
Sammie will need a special soft diet because of his lack of teeth. His vision is not the greatest on his left side, though this requires nothing more special than lubricating drops from pharmacy.
Sammie is a lot of company and has lots of living and loving yet to do.
Height 15 1/2 inches , Weight 24 pounds
Sammie has been neutered. He is up-to-date on shots and heartworm preventive, and has recently been groomed. His adoption fee is $175.
