Hi guys, Sandy here! I have not been at the shelter that long, but I am all ready to come home with you!

I am a pretty good companion they say. I have lived with people of all ages and we all got along just fine. I even had some other dogs to keep me company during the day. That was nice when my former family had to leave us alone for many hours. I am housebroken and will alert you when I have to go outside. Just don't leave me alone all day, I might not be able to hold it in.

I am friendly towards people and animals I know, but I get pretty anxious when I meet somebody for the first time and might growl. I don't mean any harm. Just give me time to get to know other people and dogs. On the other hand, a nice growl can come pretty handy if somebody comes through the yard to the house and the door bell is broken, right?

Like every girl I enjoy a nice bath. I also don't mind a belly rub afterwards...or before. I am even down for some playtime. Tug of war? Playing with balls? No problem, I am your girl. We can even chase each other through the yard. I sometimes get into the chase thing too much and will go after some critter. Oops. I also already know some tricks. Do you want to teach me some more?

Just come and meet me and bring your family (two- and four-legged) to make sure that we like each other! Just ask for Sandy!
