Santana was found as a stray, but she's been working hard at being the best pet she can be ever since.
She has completed Canine Good Citizen training, so she's a pro on a leash. Her perfect day is a long, leisurely hike followed by a snooze in your lap. She is a perfect lady in the house, and quite a beauty. She is sure to improve your decor just by lying on the couch.
Santana should absolutely be the only pet. She is reactive to both other dogs and cats. It mostly comes from her being very protective of her home and people. Her training makes it very managable on leash and in controlled environments, but her new family will have to get to know her boundaries and quirks.
The perfect home for Santana would be with some more experienced owners, or ones that are comfortable working around her reactivity. She would love a yard, or at least some nice long walks. She has a good, medium-style energy
Santana has come such a long way, and she has so much love to give. She is a people person at heart, and she will be a true blue bestie for life. Come meet her!
And remember, all APA adoptions come with free behavior assistance through APA's behavior team. And when you adopt a dog from APA, you are saving not one, but two lives - the life of the dog you're bringing into your home, and the next dog APA can save in the adopted dog's place.
