Hi, my name is Sassy Sue, but if you really want to get my attention, call me Sassafras! Unfortunately, my Daddy passed away recently and since then, my Mommy has not been able to spend enough time with me. She made the really tough decision to give me to the wonderful folks at Boston Terrier Rescue of Florida so that they can find me a super forever home. Right now, my amazing Foster Mommy is taking great care of me and helping me to get all fixed up so that I will be ready when my new home is found. So much has gone on recently that it's taking me a little bit of time to get settled in to my new environment but my Foster Mommy says that in just the short time that I’ve been with her, I’m really starting to come out of my shell! I get along well with other dogs but I will stand my ground if another dog is trying to be mean to me. It would be great if a forever home could be found for me that does not have small children because I don’t like to be bothered when I’m sleeping. I love to play with bouncy and squeaky balls and to go for walks, and, of course, I love to be massaged and loved on. Are you the family for me?
Sassy Sue is believed to be about 6 or 7 years old and currently weighs 24 pounds, although her Foster Mom is working on getting her weight down to 18-19 pounds.
If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website to learn about our adoption process and to fill out an application. www.btrfl.org
Because we have Boston Terriers of all ages, we have a sliding scale for adoption fees generally ranging from $200 to $600 based on the age and health of the dog. Our fees cover vetting costs, shelter fees, fuel for transport, copying and printing of contracts and paperwork, our website presence, food, boarding, behavioral training and additional medical care. While the dog you adopt may not require all of these things, many other dogs in our system do. By adopting from Boston Terrier Rescue of Florida, you are not saving just one life, you are helping to save others as well.
