We got Scooter (Eric) out of Stockton shelter shortly after he was on the news. He was dropped off in front of the shelter with his back legs not working, so they assumed he was paralyzed. We have since discovered that he does have some feeling in his back legs but not enough to stand to walk so he drags them and uses wheels to get around. He is very sweet and loves everyone, dogs, kids, cats. He is not potty trained so diapers would certainly help. he at first needed to have his bladder expressed daily but now goes potty on his own just fine. No small children please as he could get hurt very easily. Also no swimming pools or stairs. He can get down a single step but not back up it so a ramp would be needed to get inside from a step or to be lifted in each time...which is what we currently do. He does have some wheels that will go with him, however they are not the perfit fit as they were donated.
Shots(DHPP), Rabies, microchipped, neutered. We also now give one free vet visit with our local vet within first 3 days of adoption!!
Adoption cost for this dog is $150
We are a rescue, and do not have a physical shelter to visit. All of our dogs/pups are currently being fostered in the Central Valley so please be willing to make the trip to see them if you are from out of the area. Our adoption process REQUIRES that an application must first be submitted and approved prior to meeting any of our pets. Just note that we may get several responses on one pet at a time so just because you have an approved application does not mean said pet is on hold for you. One must FIRST confirm an appointment to meet the pet after an approved application has been sent. To inquire about this specific pet, please write to firstname.lastname@example.org for an application. Please remember to put the pets name in the subject line when emailing, and on the top on the application. It helps us to help you that must faster. We are a group of volunteers, and ask that you please bare with us. We will get to each person just as quickly as we can. If you do not hear back from us within 24 hours, please send another request as we have been having problems with e-mail.
