Umbrella of Hope "Be Our Pet"

2 yr old, 16 lb Schnauzer and Pug Mix SPAYED FEMALE for ADOPTION

Shambhala is a 2 yr old, 16 lb Pug and Schnauzer Mix SPAYED FEMALE. She is also microchipped, vaccinated and free of parasites.
She was taken by one of our partner shelters from a hoarder/breeder with over 50 dogs who was trying to create designer dogs. She is shy and would benefit from obedience classes to help her gain her confidence. She is working on housebreaking and has not had an accident in over a week, but will likely have a learning curve in a new environment. She is getting used to the leash and is great in the car. She loves other dogs. We have not tested her with cats, but do not expect them to be a problem. Kids will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, but she is more "tea party" than "superhero" so quiet and gentle children would be a better fit.

GENERAL INFO:
Housebroken?: Yes, doing well. Needs reinforcement in new environment
Crate Trained?: Yes
Leash Trained?: Yes, working on it
Rides Well in Car?: Yes
Non-Shedding?: yes or low-shedding but cannot guarantee hypoallergenic
Good with cats?: Yes, we think so
Good with dogs?: Yes
Qualifies for Seniors for Seniors?: No, but would consider exception for perfect home (be sure to read description above and incorporate how you would provide structure and training).
Umbrella of Hope does not have any strict rules on ages of children because all children are different, but our best approximation is that this animal would do best with children over the age of 5
