Shea is a seven-year-old spayed female calico/tiger combination who is indoors-only with regular visits out on the balcony. She's housebroken/litterbox trained & keeps it tidy as long as it's scooped regularly. Something traumatized her very badly when she was younger and she spent the first six months of her prior foster/adoption (March-September 2013) hiding under mom's bed whenever mom was home. But Shea has been blossoming into an independent, playful and curious girl. She spends a lot of time pacing around checking things out, but she is not a troublemaker. Paper or plastic? Either is fine with her! Bags, scratching posts & cat toys (especially ribbons and ping pong balls) can keep her occupied for hours. If you can't find her, look up - she likes hanging out on top of her foster mom's bookcase where she can keep an eye on things for you. She needs to be the only animal in the house and would prefer a home without younger children. Heaven for this kitty would be a home where she can have some form of human contact during the day - retired, working from home, even the occasional visits from your house cleaners would be welcome!!! Any questions or to set up a meet-and-greet with this sweetheart who lives just minutes from the Cherry Hill PetSmart, please contact her foster mom Beth at (856) 986-8898 (text only during work hours Monday through Friday please) or email@example.com (email).
To speed up the adoption process, you can fill out an online application at http://www.ccasnj.org/for_adoption/paperwork.html and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org, or bring it with you when you visit Shea.
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, FIV/FeLV test, microchip, initial deworming treatment and 30 day pet medical insurance. Vaccinations and deworming are the first in a series, which should be followed up by the adopters veterinarian.
