The name “Sheva” has origins in the Hebrew language and means “promise or oath.”
Sheva is a pretty young female shepherd who came to us from a public shelter. And she “promises” to be a great dog for a special Forever Family!
She is a high-energy girl, but with some training and a good home, she’ll do just fine. She’d be a great dog for an active family that can integrate her into their life and challenge her both physically AND mentally. Sheva will need a family that understands and can help her deal with a fear of loud noises including thunder, fireworks, (most likely) Camp Pendleton booms. Sheva is housebroken, doesn’t jump on people, and enjoys rides in the car. She’s not fond of spending time in a crate; however, she does fine when left unattended in the house.
Sheva really loves time spent with other dogs, so she’d be best with a doggie sibling – or at the very least regular interaction with other canines. She does need some training to improve her “hi, how are you” manners – she’s a bit excitable when she meets other dogs, particularly when she’s on leash.
Make a promise to yourself and come check Sheva out at one of our adoption events!

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $400. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible.
Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
Our adoption process begins with completing an application on-line. A phone screening will soon follow, and lastly a home visit will be conducted by our volunteers.
We show our dogs at adoption events every weekend! Check our our website to see where we'll be next!
