Tyler is absolutely DESPERATE FOR A HOME! This boy keeps getting passed up for other dogs, for the last 2 years:(((
Tyler is a 4-5 year old, male Terrier/Poodle mix, weighs around 35-40 lbs and is full grown. He's a gorgeous boy and is very loving once he gets to know you, but he does have trust issues with strangers. He was very nervous and scared when we first got him in and he didn't trust new people. A trainer said he was most likely abused which makes sense why it takes him time to get comfortable with new people. He loves all our volunteers, who he knows and trusts. All he needs is a loving person with a calm, quiet home and someone who will be patient until he comes out of his shell.
Tyler loves to play with toys and to go for walks and especially just to hang out on the sofa. Tyler hasn't been around many dogs, so not sure how he'd do in a home with one. We know he'd be perfectly happy being the only dog, getting all the attention...who wouldn't? He may be fine with another dog as long as it's a dog that's not dominant with him. A sweet, calm, non-threatening dog may be ok. The most important thing is a calm, quiet home with one or two people Tyler can trust. Boy, once he does, he is the MOST affectionate dog. He'll even hug you around the neck to show you how much he cares. Tyler has not been children and we feel a home with children would not be suitable.
