Sophie's been spayed, we've done some training and she is ready for her forever home. Sophie knows basic commands, but it would appear someone let her get away with not doing them before so she can be a bit stubborn. She may have some shar pei in her gene pool as her forehead seems wrinkly (or maybe she just needs botox).
Sophie is great on a leash now and will tolerate a crate, we don't recommend a home that will need to crate her because it is a stressful environment for this girl. Sophie wants to have a job. At her foster she helps by walking with her foster Mom while she feeds the other animals. If Sophie doesn't get to help feed, she will bark, so it is extremely important that she have a job in her new home. That job can be going to get the mail everyday with her owner, or working on a ranch.
Sophie has a high prey drive so we do NOT recommend her to a home with cats.
She is spayed, UTD on her shots, has been dewormed and is microchipped. Her adoption fee for the month of August is $250, but will increase back to $300 in September.
Sophie is such a sweet Mommy. We pulled her and her 11 puppies from an overcrowded shelter in the high desert.
Since we brought her home she has been such a good girl. She feeds her puppies and takes such good care of them!
Sophie will be available once she has weaned the puppies and is able to be fixed. She is a lover of people, but we don't think she should go to a home with kitties.
