Tank Girl might look like a bruiser, but she's really just a goof ball at heart. All she wants to do is give you lots of love and affection. If you are a big cuddler who likes walks and has a few rawhide bones to spare, Tank Girl will love you forever. Tank Girl hasn't had a lot of training, so she will need someone who can work with her a bit. She hasn't been house trained, and she does pull on the leash. She's well-meaning but big, so she'll need an assured hand to help guide her to be her best. She really does not like being in a crate, but she will sleep soundly through the night at the foot of your bed if you let her. She is pretty hilarious when she sleeps. She prefers to nap with all four legs sticking straight in the air. Which may explain why she hates the crate; it's just cramping her style. Tank Girl seems to be pretty chill about other dogs and kids. She hasn't had a ton of interaction with them yet while in foster, but she isn't reactive towards either when on a walk. She seems pretty interested by cats, though. We're not sure in what capacity. We think she'd do best in a home that has some experience training larger dogs. We are also happy to assist with obedience training at APA! She wasn't given a good start when it comes to basic pet manners, but she's bright and eager to please, so we have no doubt she'll catch up. She's naturally very respectful in the home. No jumping where she shouldn't be or chewing what isn't hers. She really loves walks, so a family that can do that with her once a day would be ideal. And she would prefer a house with lots of laps to lay in. She is a dog of many cuddles. If you are looking for some big love from a big girl, Tank Girl would suit you well.
