Taylor is a handsome 4 year-old Beagle mix male who came to us in March 2015 with 6 others from a hoarding situation in a rural county. Although all of the dogs were shy and not well-socialized, Taylor was the most fearful and the slowest to let his guard down in his new surroundings. After lots of TLC in a foster home, he’s made huge progress and enjoys cuddling with his foster family. Taylor is very food-motivated so is a very quick learner when there are yummy treats as rewards. He has learned how to walk beautifully on a leash which is something he had never done before in his previous home. Taylor is crate-trained and largely housetrained although he will need to establish a new routine in his new home. He loves his own toys and rarely tries to chew anything that doesn't belong to him. Taylor gets along great with other dogs and enjoys playing and wrestling with them. He was adopted for 6 weeks but recently returned because, although he was very friendly and affectionate with his family, he did not welcome visitors to the home and would growl and snap at them. He is going to need a very quiet home where he doesn't have to deal with visitors and can relax and enjoy life. Taylor does great meeting people when out on walks and outside of his home though. He always enjoys adoption days at Petco too. Taylor weighs about 25 pounds and his adoption fee is $200. He's neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Taylor. An approved application is required before we set up meets with any of our dogs. All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. Please visit our website at www.caninelifeline.org to see more photos of Taylor and to submit an online application.
