It breaks my heart to give them up for reasons other than old age and natural death and it’s hard to think that anybody could love them as much as I do. Unfortunately, I know the time has come where they need the love, care and personal affection time that they both deserve and which I cannot provide as much as I once could. As a single mom, working and going to back to college, I can’t give them the attention they need to be happy and Siamese need lots of loving as they are very loyal creatures. Also, my son is highly allergic and I have held off for few years hoping his sensitivity would eventually adjust but it has only gotten worse with time and at a point where he has to routinely take medicine for his cat allergy. As if all this wasn’t stressful enough, our family is also moving before end of year and I can’t put my sweet girls through another major move before finding adoptive parents if it can be prevented. Of course preferably, I would like for them to stay together since they are litter mates and have always had each other as companions. However, if they have option to go to different parents, I do understand and know in my heart that they will adjust as long as they get the attention and love needed.
I adopted Thai & Tess from Wilmington Cat Clinic in Wilmington, NC in April 2005, where they were both declawed and spayed before I brought them home. They are now 10 yrs. old and do sometimes bicker as adult sisters sometimes do but generally get along most all the time. They have never come in contact with any other cats and therefore not tested for feline leukemia or FIV. Neither pet likes cat treats but they do love catnip and better yet, freshly grown and cut catnip. Thai is initially shy around strangers but if petted, especially by cat lovers, then she is your new friend. She is pretty laid back and goes about her day quietly. She needs her litter box changed frequently/daily and will have accident if not changed regularly or if she gets mad at you for not doing so. Tess has more typical narrow, pointed face, has silky fur but absolutely does NOT like you to use a brush and will run if she sees you with one. She talks more often and will sometimes cry in long deep tone if she can hear you but can’t find you. She is a retriever and has a favorite pink feather ink pen that she carries in her mouth room to room and will bring to you as a present especially before bedtime.
