Thor is approximately one year old Russian Blue mix. He was found on the streets of Plantation with a huge open infected wound on his back. From the first moment he was seen by his foster family he was a ball of love, even with the pain he was enduring. Thor continues to be an exceptionally affectionate cat. His wound is healed and the hair on his back has grown in. He looks for physical affection constantly, he gets along well with other cats, he is up to date on his vaccines and has been neutered. He was exposed to and tested positive for FIV ( Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). It does not affect humans or other animals, just cats. Thor shows no symptoms of the illness. Most FIV+ cats live long and healthy lives. No treatment or medication is required for FIV+. A low stress life and good nutrition are the best medicine for them.
