When you work in animal rescue you meet all sorts of different dogs. Some dogs are brash and excitable, others are goofy and bumbling, still others are shy and unassuming. Tilley is one such dog. She's a bit shy, a bit uncertain of new people and new situations but she looks to her foster mom and her fur siblings to show her what's what. Tilley came to us as a young dog from a shelter situation. We don't know what kind of home Tilley came from, but she was found as a stray and brought in to the shelter. Once she was there she completely shut down. She was terrified to move, so much so that her arms and legs were covered in calluses and sores from laying trembling in the same place all day and night. While Tilley is still very shy with new people she's a totally different dog with people she trusts and with the dogs she lives with. With her fursiblings Tilley is playful and fun loving. She looks to the other dogs in her home to know what to do next. Because of this we strongly recommend Tilley to a home with another dog. With the right companion to show her the ropes Tilley is a playful darling. She's an absolute delight to be around and she's waiting for the right family to see how golden she is.
Tilley isn't the kind of dog to push to the front of the line. She's the kind of dog who hugs the wall and hopes with all her heart that someone will see what a gem she is. Anyone who sees the beauty, inside and out that is Tilley they'll find a loving companion for life!
