Timber is a fantastic dog who is getting ready to graduate from our DOG Project program at the end of October. He has no adoption restrictions and we believe he would do well in any home environment. He's a bigger boy and would love some room to play and maybe another dog friend to pal around with. He's also a fun dog to think about taking outdoors to climb mountains or swim with.
Timber knows basic obedience commands and is crate trained. He has been started on agility work, too. Adopters who choose dogs from the DOG Project should be excited about the opportunity to bring home a pet well-started in the basics and primed for ongoing skill advancement.
Timber has evaluated well with cats and children also. His one questionable behavior centers around his behavior in a kennel or behind a barrier, like a chain-link fence. Timber often whines for the first few minutes after being crated, and will bark at other dogs who come near the kennel while he is in it. He will also sometimes display territorial or guarding behavior toward people and dogs when he is separated from them by a fence. We think this behavior will lessen over time as Timber become accustomed to a new home and routine, and is given opportunity to learn new behaviors.
Ask us about this great dog today, you won't regret the decision to add this sweet boy to your family.
