New to OCDRT on 9/22/2016 from a northeast Ohio shelter.
Tito is being fostered in Massillon Ohio.
Tito is a male pup approximately 10-12 weeks of age. He introduced very well to the resident ACDs, asking to play within only a moment or two. He will start his vaccines, house training, leash training, socialization and basic obedience while with us. We will schedule his neuter when he is closer to 15 - 16 weeks of age & he will go to his forever home after he heals. Please check back for updates as we get to know him. Tito requires an ACD savvy home for adoption.
UPDATE 9/27/2016: Tito continues to be a happy, playful boy. He has started his vaccines and is scheduled to be neutered October 25th. He mastered “sit” on the first try and sits every time for treats or his dinner. He is keeping his crate dry at night and we are working on his house training during the day. He is learning to walk very well on a leash. After seeing his play behavior and personality, it will be imperative for his adopter to have prior herding breed experience, as he is very smart and needs someone who can channel his energy into proper behavior. He also seems to enjoy the company of his foster siblings as much as he does human interaction, so a home with another dog would be a plus. As a puppy this age has many months of this energy level, a home with a fenced yard will also be a large plus in our matching program, as would a home with someone who works from home or only works part-time. We will update his progress as we get to know him further.
UPDATE 9/29/2016: We have a deposit to hold Tito from an approved applicant for a future meeting.

ADOPTION INFORMATION: P lease email firstname.lastname@example.org for an adoption application, as this is the first step to the adoption process. We are better able to suggest a potential match after reviewing your completed application. We require a telephone interview, check references, home support visit, & a contract and adoption fee of $250 applies. All our foster dogs are altered, heartworm tested and kept on prevention, tick borne disease tested, receive DHLPP, Bordatella, Lyme, & Rabies vaccine, fecal tested & de-wormed as necessary, micro-chipped, any additional medical concerns or behavior concerns are addressed, crate trained, leash trained, and are kept on a premium food.
PLEASE NOTE: This Rescue is not a public shelter. This dog is being fostered in a private home until adoption. Our fosters are adopted on first come, first serve basis, with applications being processed in the order received. If approved for adoption, a deposit is required to hold the dog until a meeting can be arranged. We do require prospective adopters to travel to the home of the foster dog along with all family members, including any resident dog(s). This is the only way to see the known temperament of our fosters dogs, while they are in the home they feel is 'their's'. Any behavior concerns with meeting new people/dog(s) on their home 'turf' will be visible at the meeting.
