Meet Tom and Jerry. These beautiful brothers came into our foster program from a high-kill shelter. Now, at only 11 months old, these rare, dappled Chihuahuas have adapted incredibly in-spite of being born with hearing loss and imperfect eyesight. Tom is 95% blind. Jerry has one good eye and has no problem seeing well and getting around. They are both mostly deaf but you wouldn't know it by the way they respond to you. They have a deep bond with each other and will be adopted together.
Jerry’s resilient spirit is evident in his carefree and playful attitude. He is an amazingly affectionate little guy who loves to run around and play with his brother as well as other dogs. Tom is more cautious but participates and plays with other dogs well, too. Sometimes he hunts around looking for his brother and his rambunctious side comes out when he finds him! Tom is overcoming his shyness of people and loves to be held and loved. The brothers are very loving and are always snuggling either together or with their human. They are kennel trained but not yet house broken. Are you their happy forever home?
Note from their foster- I have fostered with LCHS for five years and have several dogs of my own. Tom & Jerry have stolen my heart with their love, affection, and adorable personalities. They require no special attention and really are no different than my own dogs. Tom surprisingly adapted to his surroundings quickly and knows his way around the house inside and out. Tom just melts in your arms when you hold him and for some reason they are both incredibly soft. Of all my fosters, I would have to say these guys are my favorite!
Tom's weight is approximately: 8.8 lbs
