Tommy is fostered in North Bay
Tommy has been in foster care for 3 months, so we thought it was time for an update. He is doing fantastic adjusting to the "good life" ....... the memories of the hoarding situation he came from are long in the past.
Tommy is a 2 1/2 year old, 18 lb Rat terrier mix (with what, we have no idea, but he the perfect family size). He came into foster care a scared, shy boy...... but now, he is a fun loving boy who loves to go for walks (will bump your leg when it is time to go) and enjoys playing fetch in the backyard (and will even bring the ball back). We have worked very hard on his house training, and we can say with confidence, he is 100% reliable in the house - no accidents. Tommy sleeps quietly through the night. He is not a big barker, but when his foster sister decides there is danger outside, he will help her scare away the monsters.
We feel he would do best with another dog in the house, as he looks to them for confidence. Tommy is totally trust-worthy in the house when left alone, which is good, because he is very scared of a crate.....so no crates or kennels for this boy.He is starting to come to his foster Dad more and more for attention and pets. He is doing much better with people that come to the house; he has learned that new people = more love. Tommy would do fine in a home with older children, the movements of younger kids still make him abit nervous.
Tommy is super ready for his fur-ever home...... to put his tragic past behind him, and share all his cuteness with a lucky family.
