All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.
If you are looking for an easy to love, sweet dog, Travis is your guy. His foster says "he is a laid back dog and he likes his walks. He doesn't jump and very calm. He is wonderful with other dogs." This is one good ole boy, ready to play sniff the grass in the yard and stretch out in the shade. This great temperament comes naturally to Travis, who is hoping to enjoy life to the fullest with his own person or family. If you are a hound lover, let Travis become your new love.
A SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HIS FOSTER: People I have talked to think he was probably hit by a car at one time. His hind end has a small hump that is probably from an old break Aside from that he is very sweet, sleeps most of the day and plays a little early and late in the day. He is quiet, occasional whining if he is restless or has to go out. He gets along great with my 2 dogs. I think he will need a fenced in yard and another dog to play with. He likes to be out a lot. He is house trained. He is in a crate next to my other dogs at night. He travels well in a crate in the car.
