My name is Trenton. I was named after the road that I lived on for awhile, but you can call me Trent for short. My history is quite the mystery: One day I showed up at a kind woman's house begging for food. She began to take care of me even though I was cautious of her and never let her see me. Eventually, this weird metal cage like thing showed up in her yard (I believe humans call it a "trap.") Then, after many nights of me enjoying my evening snack in this new item, it closed on me! I was taken to the vet where they discovered what a love bug I am. After that, someone brought me to HART and I began to relax and bond with new people. Now, the volunteers have found out that I'm positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Don't get too worried though, I can still live a long, happy, and healthy life. I just need to be in an indoor only home with no other cats, or only FIV positive cats. FIV is not contagious or transferable to anyone, except for cats. I hope you will still come meet me! I'm very loving, mellow, gentle, sweet and affectionate. I absolutely LOVE to be petted, I will start to knead, purr and roll over! I will also show you that I don't want the petting to end by reaching out and grabbing your hand. I'm still a little nervous about being held, but if you are gentle and you hold me close, I will relax. I promise you that I'm a very special boy, and I would make the purrrrfect addition to your home!
