Clearly, Trixie is not a German Shepherd, but we think that her mommy might have looked at one once...We couldn't turn our backs when we learned that this little girl with an injured eye had no where to go. We think she is approximately 3 years old.
Trixie was emaciated and her eye was seriously damaged when she arrived. Our vet determined that the best course of action was to remove the eye as it had become infected and she no longer had vision. Trixie's other eye works perfectly well, and she gets around like a champ.
Trixie is deeply bonded with her traveling pal, Pixie, and they must be adopted together as they have been through so much.
Kind rescuers worked day and night to safely trap these two girls so that we could care for them. Now we are counting on our GSROC friends and family to help Trixie start a brand new life.
Please go to our website and complete an adoption application at: http://www.gsroc.org/application.asp. An adoption counselor will contact you to go over your application and assist you in determining which dog may be best for your particular situation.
