1y 10lb purrfect Chug Troodie--a combo of Pug and Chi (over friendly:)
Socialization: Around strangers Troodie is friendly and outgoing and gentle when she plays with adults. She lived with children ages 1 to 2 years old and when she plays she is gentle. She spent time another Chihuahua and was relaxed and playful and gentle at play.
Behavior: Troodie has never attempted to bite a person or animal. She is nervous when she hears fire trucks. She isn't bothered if a treat of toy is taken from her. She was not allowed on furniture. She isn't bothered if she is restrained or disturbed while sleeping. She enjoys baths. She isn't bothered if her coat is brushed and is tolerant if her nails are trimmed. She was friendly if an unfamiliar person approached her home or previous owner.
For a New Family to Know: Troodie is described as friendly, affectionate, playful, and confident with a high activity. The two things her previous owner liked most about her were; she's playful and friendly. When her previous owner was home she would tend to follow her around. She likes to play with ropes and balls and played fetch and tug. She was kept mostly indoors and at night she slept on a pillow. She ate dry Beniful. She is mostly house trained but had accidents weekly if not taken out. Her accidents would be on mostly on wee wee pad ,she would just miss the pad a little. When left alone indoors, she was well behaved. She knows the cue lay down. For exercise she was walked once a day. On leash she doesn't pull.
Behavior during intake: Troodie allowed me to pick her up. When I walked her on the leash she would stop walking and pulled away. She allowed me to pick her up and would jump up for attention and give kisses. She showed no signs of aggression.
Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there)
Please go to our site http://zanisfurryfriends.org
fill out an application and return to email@example.com
Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on on Sundays and sometimes on Saturdays--please ask by writing us at firstname.lastname@example.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application by Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.
Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate!
If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us email@example.com closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet. It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Sundays usually and some Saturdays. Follow us on FB for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: firstname.lastname@example.org For Dogs: email@example.com For Rabbits: firstname.lastname@example.org.
