Trooper Male 3 legged Good with dogs Good with cats Good with older kids Fostered in Elk, WA
Hey there! My name is Trooper! I’m assuming that you met my best friend Romeo. You’ll have to excuse him for being so uptight. He gets better, I swear. If you have anything to say to us, you should probably just ask me because I have been through everything that he’s been through, but I see the bigger picture and I know I don’t have to be afraid anymore.
I first met him at the shelter in California where I ended up when I was a baby, only a few months old. I guess I suppressed the memories of what happened to me, I just remember that once I got there, one of my paws was completely gone. The vets examined me and decided that my best option was to kiss the rest of my poor leg goodbye, and let me tell you what- I don’t even care. Three is the golden number after all.
I have always been happy go lucky and I like everything; cats, dogs, kids, and anything else, but I know that Romeo doesn’t like to live a chaotic lifestyle and I respect that. We had a long talk about it and I told him that it’s ok with me if he picks our forever family. There’s only one thing that can make my blood boil and that’s when people treat my man poorly. I need you to know that if I think he’s in harm’s way, I’m going to do my darndest to protect him, whatever it takes.
If you decide to have Romeo and I in your life, I couldn’t be more thankful. I need you to keep in mind that I am willing to take one for the team. I will let the scary dogs meet me so that Romeo doesn’t have to. The stinky diaper toddlers can pet me so that Romeo can hide from them, and I will always try to be strong for him. If you think you’d like to have a dynamic duo like us in your life, please send in an application today! Thank you in advance. You can find the application at http://www.powerofthepaw.org/dog-adoption-application.
