This little one is the Miss Congeniality of our household, which is incredible considering that at 4 weeks old, she was one of the most fearful, hostile, and wild little feral kittens her foster parents have ever encountered! They were worried about whether this one would tame, but fortunately little Tullia has turned out to be a first class love-bug with an amazing personality. She is one of those that would be described as very conscious, very present, and totally engaged with her humans. She loves to make eye contact with you, really wants to communicate, and will usually begin to peep out little greetings when she does. She also does fabulous “floomps” – she’ll just drop from a standing position to a lying-down position very dramatically, in a way that should have a sound effect – and we imagine “floomp” would be the sound. Usually when she does this floomping, if you’re not close enough to reach out and pet her, she’ll then slither toward you on her side, purring and purring, until she can get right up to within arm’s reach, so that you can pet her while she makes “air biscuits” with her paws. She is big on the kneading dough thing, and loves, loves, loves soft blankies and kitty beds. She also seems to have a sense of gentleness and empathy when it’s called for. One of the other kitties in her foster home is an elderly 16 year-old boy who has a lot of health challenges and has been feeling kind of poorly. He loves kittens, but not to play with, just bathing and snuggling, thank-you-very-much. Unlike some of the other youngsters in the household, Tullia seems to sense this, and is very gentle to this sweet old guy, and snuggles up next to him without annoying him. She even will try to give him little baths sometimes, and he returns the favor to her.
Tullia is very social, so she needs to be adopted either along with another kitten (ideally a sibling, although that is certainly not a requirement) or to a home where there is already another animal (kitten, adult cat, or cat-loving puppy or adult dog) that would be her full-time playmate. It would be especially cool to see her adopted with her little twin brother, Festus.
Also, her beautiful, sweet siblings and playmates are posted on here as well! Please also keep an eye out for their postings: Augustus, Maximus, Lucretia, Valeria, Festus, Valerius, and Bitsy.
