Hi there, my name is Tux! I had to move out of my home when my person's mom moved in. She is allergic to me. I'm not sure what that is but it can't be good. I miss my person now and I'm a little scared here at the shelter but I really am a sweetie. I might be hiding at first when you come to meet me but if you talk quietly to me, you can tempt me out of my hiding place with a toy. I love to play and it won't take too much coaxing to get me out. If you are really nice to me, I'll even roll over and let you gently rub my tummy. I love spending time with people, lap time is one of my favorite things. My other favorite thing is treats! The ones they call temptations, with the yummy fillings are my absolute favorite, I can eat a whole bowl at a time! Well, I could if someone would give me a whole bowl at a time. Humans are very stingy with the delicious temptations. Twice a day the humans give me a pill, it’s yucky, but they say it treats my heart condition. I think my heart is fine, but I have to admit that I feel better now, and I no longer get short of breath when I play. They say I will need my medication, as well as regular medical check ups and blood work (more time with the vet, oh joy) for the rest of my life. I get along with other cats, but I would prefer to find a home of my own, where I can be the one and only, so all of the treats will be mine! Why don’t you come in and meet me today? Maybe you can be my new family, and I could be the perfect friend for you!
