Vader is a black Domestic Short Hair female who was born around December 6th, 2015. Are you looking for an amazingly social kitty who will spoil you with cuddles, purrs, and hours of entertainment? Then Vader is the girl for you! She is a kitty with an excellent disposition and a lot of personality! As a small kitten, she had an upper respiratory infection that caused her breathing to be loud and inspired her foster home to name her Vader. The infection also led to an ulcer in her eye which her iris sealed up; so while it doesn't cause her pain, she does have limited vision and cloudiness in that eye. Vader is a definite "people cat" and will happily greet and befriend everyone who comes to her home. She gets along well with other cats also, but does require a few weeks to become comfortable with them before she's ready to be good friends. Vader absolutely loves playing with pretty much any toy, but will just as happily settle in on your lap for some quality purr time. She's not particularly vocal unless she's concerned that her people are trapped; if you shut her out of the room you're in she will likely sit outside the door and give her high-pitched chirping cry until she's able to be with you again and ensure your safety and well-being. Vader has been waiting a long time to find her forever family and would do perfectly well in a busy home with multiple adults, a family with older children, or a quiet home with only one person who is able to give her plenty of time and love. She would be perfectly happy as an only kitty, but would likely be fine living with other felines too. Vader is an adaptable girl who can't wait to shower her new family with love and affection!

Kittens have been given their first shots of FVRCP, adults are up-to-date on vaccinations, and all cats have are Feline Leukemia tested (negative) and micro chipped. The fee to adopt is $90 (the fee helps cover these costs and the cost of the microchip registration).
The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All of our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. For more information about this animal, please email email@example.com. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org.
We are still accepting applications on this animal; we do remove the pets from our site once they are adopted.
