A beautiful shrinking violet...
Violet is a domestic short-hair female with a rare black smoke coat pattern. This means that just the tips of her hairs are black while the roots are white, so her fur appears solid with a pale ruff. Violet also has a small white spot on her chest. She has pretty pale greenish yellow eyes and the sweetest, sad little face you'll ever see. She is not a big cat, weighing only 7 lbs. She was rescued from outside where we believe someone abandoned her. She had a collar on and had her front leg stuck through it. This left her with a wound under her leg. Her fur was also matted. Poor Violet was a terrified mess. She was brought to a vet immediately for examination and treatment.
As an indoor cat, she had a tough time outdoors; she was frightened and out of her element. Once fully recovered, she was moved to a foster home, where she is now getting the tender loving care she deserves. She has been readjusting slowly to life inside. She is still very shy, but has started seeking out attention from her foster mom and dad. Violet is making good progress each day and will warm up to any loving hand in time. She will need a patient, caring owner to give her a quiet forever home.
This petite girl is very gentle and sweet. So far, she does not seem to be a high-energy cat. Violet enjoys being petted from head to tail and LOVES getting scratched around her head and neck. If you stop, she will wiggle up next to you and nudge your hand for more. She gets so into it sometimes that she rolls over, almost cooing as she purrs her little heart out. Violet is still coming around and is not very comfortable with being picked up yet. However, she will happily curl up next to you and will fall asleep there if you let her. Another thing worth mentioning is that she was incredibly well behaved during her first bath.
This angel took her time learning to play again, but now she loves mice on fishing rod toys. She also enjoys sitting at the window to birdwatch and watch the world go by. She is a sucker for cat treats and not a picky eater. Violet happily snarfs down any food put in front of her. She has excellent litter box etiquette too.
