Watson is a cute little guy who has had an interesting background. He was initially rescued as a youngster from a hoarding situation. He was healthy but didn't have a lot of social skills. After being adopted, he proved himself to be good at learning to like people and already did well with most other dogs, but Watson was difficult to house train using a crate. Watson resists crate training to the point that if he's left in one he will deliberately relieve himself in it. On the other hand, if he has plenty of opportunity to go outside and he isn't feeling confined in a crate, Watson can be much more cooperative with potty training. Also, not too long after being adopted, Watson had a back problem that required surgery. He has long ago fully recovered and has no problems at all at this time.
Watson's owners had to give him up due to circumstances beyond their control involving a relocation, but they have done a tremendous job with Watson- he's been transformed from a wild child to a dog who truly wants to be a good pet. He just needs a loving home with an experienced owner who will be patient, consistent, and willing to continue with Watson's rehab. He's not the easiest dog, but he's one of the cutest and can be very sweet. If you can help Watson continue to enjoy the good life he was meant to have, he may be the one for you!
