Hello, my name is Wild Man. I was rescued from a breeder that was unable to care for us or find us homes. Although my owners were doing the best they could, we were living in cramped conditions with little exercise and play. We were not getting enough food or vet care. Luckily, someone contacted the shelter and I am hoping the rest of us make it here to find new forever homes. Wildman is the most sensitive to touch of all the Huskies. This is simply due to a lack of being touched. He will have this issue worked on, along with socialization, at Puppies for Parole in Chillicothe Correctional Center where he will go after his surgery.
I am at times a cantankerous character that can be equally charming at the same time. I am an active guy that will need a lot of exercise, otherwise I get a little restless. I am also very smart, so I will need an owner that is not just willing to be outsmarted at times, but welcomes it. Smart dogs are the best!
I arrived at the shelter with a very large mass in my groin area. The vet believes it is a testicle that never quite made it down and it *may* be cancerous, but we won't know for sure until I have surgery. Over $700 was raised to pay for my surgery, which is October 11, 2016.
