This is Winfrey, a soulful sweetheart who had a rough start. He was hit by a car before he was rescued so he is currently working to fully recover from his injuries.
Winfrey is approximately two years old, around 65 lbs, housetrained, crate trained and super cuddly. His foster family says he seeks physical affection often and loves to snuggle -- a big love bug. He is people-oriented, friendly, gentle, eager to please, quick-learning and very smart. He has sweet, expressive eyes, a velvety black snout and nose, and floppy ears with one that sticks out sideways sometimes – his ‘wonky’ ear. J
Given his recuperative state over the last few months, his foster family isn’t sure of his full activity level but thinks he’ll enjoy playing/running and going for walks when he’s completely healed. They also are not sure about his demeanor around kids or cats, but does seem to do well with other dogs.
Winfrey has overcome a lot in his young life – hit by a car and underwent major surgery, and treatment for heartworms – but he has adapted incredibly well and has remained a sweet and trusting dog that make a wonderful companion to the right family.
