Winnie is a 1-year-old, 11-pound red Dachshund mix who came to us from the Monterey County Shelter after arriving as a homeless mama dog with two puppies to raise. Currently in foster care, Winnie has settled in nicely and is doing great with crate training and house training. Her legs may be short, but she is a fun and bouncy girl who can jump high in the air when excited! Winnie gets along nicely with other dogs, and could live with a confident, dog-savvy cat. Winnie can be a bit shy with new people and new situations, and will do best with an adopter that can help her continue to build confidence.
