Anna is just the sweetest, most well behaved little girl. It's hard to imagine after all that she has been through that she is still so loving. Wow! What a life she had. What a survivor!
Anna was surrendered to a Southern kill shelter through no fault of her own. When we saw her emaciated, almost hairless body, we jumped at the opportunity to bring her into rescue. "I'll take her," I said.
Our vet soon discovered that she had several lumps on her neck, scabs all over her body and was heartworm positive. Holy smokes. Could she have it any harder?
Well, Anna has had her benign lumps removed, had chemo just to be safe, been treated for heartworm and look at her today! Just stunning!
This lovely lady is also spayed, had her vaccines and a good dental.
We don't know how old Anna is because of her hard life. Her people said that she was six when they dumped her off, but she most likely is much older as she also has some vision loss.
Anna prefers to be the only dog in her home but she is great with all people including the children and even toddlers who stop by to visit her!
Adopt Anna and let her know that the best is yet to come! Anna is not with Eleventh Hour Rescue so if you'd like to meet her, please contact Kathie by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
