Fostered in Maple Valley, WA
Hi my name is Zoe and I am 1 ½ years old. My favorite thing to do is play, so if you like to play then you are the family for me. My foster mom calls me a cuddle bug because I like to lay on the couch or in your lap and get lots of love and pets from you. I have two fur brothers that are much older than me and don’t like to play that much but we get along really well. I’m not very good with other girl dogs so I need to be with boys please. Also if you have cats or other small animals, you might not want them around me because I love to chase them and may harm them if I get the chance to catch one of them. I am a jumper, and my foster mom says I have springs in my legs. I am working on not jumping on people but I get so excited it is hard not to. I would be better with older children because I don’t realize how big I am and might knock somebody down but not on purpose or mean to hurt them. I sleep like a big girl in my crate at night but I don’t really like to be in during the day time. I have a baby and a blanket that I like to sleep with and at night and when my foster mom leaves me at home with my brothers we listen to smooth jazz or light music, I really like that. She is really silly she puts the baby channel on for us sometimes.
I am a very curious pup and sometimes it gets me in trouble. My foster mom left some food on the counter and I got into it while she was not home so now she puts everything out of my reach. I am learning commands and I have “sit” down really well. I am learning to shake and my foster mom keeps telling me “off” but I have not figured out what it means yet. Let me tell you something, I love to go for walks. I would walk all day if you would take me. I am getting much better at not pulling as much when I am going for walks, but again that darn curiosity gets me every time. I do have something that I am working on that still scares me and that is door ways. If it has a door attached I get scared to go through it, especially the front screen door, it makes a funny noise that is really spooky.
Going for car rides is also a lot of fun, I never know where we are going but I still want to go. I don’t tell you with my voice when I need to go potty but I will stand by the back door. If you don’t let me out right away I will go potty on the floor. I like for someone to go with me in the backyard, not sure why yet. It just makes me feel more secure. My foster mom left me home the other day and I did not potty one time on the floor! She was so happy. I like to play with my human brothers shoes but I have never chewed one of them up. If you want to have a fun loving pup then I am the girl for you.
Hi, Zoe’s foster mom here. Zoe is a very loveable girl. She will follow you everywhere around the house. She is working on manners and commands but she did not know any so it may take some time for her to learn them. She can be pushy at first when she first meets a new dog but I found walking the together is the best way to introduce. She is not food aggressive at all and will let you pet her while she eats and will eat whatever anybody else left behind. Curious is what her name should be. She likes to explore and sometimes gets a little too nosey. She likes belly rubs and having her ears rubbed. She talks a lot when she wants to play with her fur brothers and it so cute to hear. Zoe will need patience and more training but you could not go wrong with having her in your home. If you are ready to make her a part of your family, head tonwboxerrescue.org/#!adoption-form/c1dw9 and fill out the form. She's ready to move to her forever home.
