COURTESY LISTED DOG. DISCLAIMER: PLEASE READ DISCLAIMER COMMENTS BELOW.
Zoey loves being petted, cuddled and is acclimating well to being part of a loving pack and living the good life! She is happy to take little laps around the backyard but when inside, she's mostly low key and will find a good spot to relax. She loves her crate and it is best for her to have any long lasting chews (rawhides, etc.) when in her crate because she can be somewhat possessive of them. She's been good with all people she's been around but she gets the zoomies and I think could easily knock down a small child. She likes most dogs but may do best with a dog her size or bigger. Zoey chases cats and may do the same with small dogs. She's great with proper introductions and would probably do best with a submissive/relaxed and mellow dog. She may not do well in a dog park. Zoey currently lives with 3 other dogs and gets along great with them. . She's great on a leash (with someone who knows how to properly walk a dog!!) and will walk beside you. She's fine with passing dogs and mostly ignores them. The fosters got her DNA tested - she tested as Lab, Pit, Husky & Malamute mix. She has lived with her current fosters for over a year. They love her dearly but because of changes in their life, they feel having 4 dogs may no longer be manageable. They would love to find a wonderful forever home for Zoey so she can continue to feel part of a loving pack. Will that be your home?? Please use the email in the below disclaimer to find out more about Zoey.
EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:
Zoey was found as a puppy in Raleigh and kept in a pen for close to 6 years. She had food, water and shelter but was not getting much exercise, attention, etc. The current fosters convinced the owners to allow them to take the dog and give her a better life. The foster parents and a trainer have worked hard with Zoey to give her socialization skills, help her insecurities and allow her to grow into the great dog she is becoming.
