zzJosie has known almost nothing more than the shelter we rescued her from. She was in the shelter 18 out of the 20 months she has been alive! Thankfully she is very friendly so the shelter staff didn’t mind her extended stay.
zzJosie is playful and loving towards other dogs. We’re not so sure about cats or children but we don’t think they’ll be a problem with her laid back personality. She gets a little testy about toys and food but she seems to be adapting to the “sharing is caring” concept.
She is still a puppy so she wants to play but she also loves taking naps and hanging out with the family. Since she was in the shelter for so long, she is used to having companions. If your home doesn’t have a playmate, she is sure to cuddle up with you and attack you with kisses.
zzJosie is house trained, crate trained and loves to go on walks! She does like to sniff around and get to know her surroundings so your first walk with her will probably take a little longer.
The shelter took great care of her so she current on shots and heartworm preventative. She is also spayed so all of her health bases have been covered! She knows the basic commands such as sit, down, no, etc.. We know, with the help of a few treats, she’ll quickly learn any other commands your family wants to teach her.
She has a teddy bear personality and pours out her love whenever she gets the chance. She is going to make a great addition to her furever home.
